Tom Cooper Trophy

Yesterday saw our minis (06/07), our 02/03 boys and our senior mens team take part in the Tom Cooper Event hosted by EK82 Handball Club.

It was a great event and everyone participated thoroughly enjoyed.

The day started with the mini event and our team from West Lothian did extremely well. Each game they got better and better and with some of them playing their first ever handball match yesterday the team show great potential for the rest upcoming season.

The next game was played by our 02/03 boys. The boys got a very good start to the game and managed to gain quite a strong lead however, in the second half EK82 came out fighting and it was a close game right to the whistle. Both teams played extremely well and the team managed to hold their nerve to secure the victory and win the Tom Cooper trophy for their event. A great well done to the boys!!

Our senior mens team were also in action at the event where they played in a round robin tournament against: EK82, Tryst 77 . and Newcastle Vikings.

They started off really well securing the win over Tryst 77 however during the EK82 they struggled to keep up. However the team didn't give up and managed to turn things around and secured the win against Newcastle Vikings. It was a great tournament for the team and with our under 18s starting to transition into our senior mens team it was extremely beneficial for them to experience playing at a higher level.

Well done to everyone that took part in the event!
